3rd Grüttpark Open 2025

The third Grüttpark Open took place in Lörrach on June 14 and 15, 2025. Like last year, this year's event was marked by extreme weather conditions. The first round on Saturday took place in intense heat. The scores were correspondingly modest, and during the night after the tournament, three players had to withdraw due to health issues related to the high temperatures. The evening brought some cooling and was rounded off with a barbecue, side games, and good music.

The second round on Sunday morning was much more pleasant, with significantly lower temperatures. In the third round on Sunday afternoon, after just over half of the holes had been played, the first storm clouds appeared and it became a race against time to see whether the Grüttpark would be hit by the storm. Towards the end of the round, however, the tournament had to be interrupted for safety reasons so as not to endanger the players in the storm.

After some deliberation, the TD team decided to cancel the third round and end the tournament with only two rounds counted.
