Season information 2022

Dear Disc Golfers

The 2022 season brings a lot of new things.

Tournament landscape Switzerland
At the Delegates' Meeting on 20 November 2021, new regulations for the Swisstour and the Swiss Championship were adopted. Please read the relevant documents in the appendix. If you have any questions, please contact your delegates of the association.

Interim solution Swisstour Finals and Swiss Championship
According to the regulations, the entries for the SM and the Swisstourfinal would have to be received by the end of October. If this is not the case, the corresponding format will not be carried out in the following year.
Since the adoption of this procedure did not take place until the end of November 2021, these deadlines cannot be met.
The situation is similar with the specification of the rating from 12 PDGA rounds played from the beginning of October to the end of September for the Swisstour. In 2022, the Swisstour will only run from January to October 2022.
The board will decide at the end of January 2022 how many PDGA rounds will be evaluated for the first season, depending on the registered tournaments.
So far, only the Bern Open is available for hosting the Swisstourfinal or the SM. If this remains the case until the end of January 2022, no SM will be carried out in 2022.
At the moment, the clubs are still organizing which tournaments they would like to offer next year and which will be in the ranking for the Swisstour. A corresponding list can be found from the beginning of the year on our homepage
This list will be updated as new tournaments are announced.
From the beginning of the 2022 season, you can also view the status of the Swisstour classification on our homepage.

Customization of PDGA rules
The PDGA has adapted the rules to 2022. This has actually happened again and again in recent years. This time, however, there are some major and decisive changes that affect everyone. You can find the changes at:

Please read these changes and discuss them with each other. In this way, we continue to ensure fair play.
The DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) associations are working on a paper rulebook. The release date is not yet known.
I wish you a Happy New Year and a Happy New Year
