Opening of the Gersag disc golf course

The time has finally come! We are proud to announce the long-awaited opening of our disc golf course at the Gersag sports complex.

Press release TnT Frisbee Lucerne:

Dear members of the dynamic Disc Golf Association The time has finally come! We are proud to announce the long-awaited opening of our disc golf course at the Gersag sports facility. A truly magical moment that will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.

We remember the postponed opening last March, when the forest baskets were initially rejected by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Forestry (lawa). Thanks to our perseverance and intensive discussions with the lawa, we reached an agreement! The baskets in the forest are allowed to remain, on the condition that they are dismantled from time to time – a small hurdle that we are happy to take on and overcome.

The municipality of Emmen proved to be a true supporter by making the realization of the course possible with great simplicity. The municipality also showed its appreciation for our project with a generous contribution. Not only that, but the city of Lucerne also contributed the same amount towards the costs. This cooperation is a shining example of the strength of the community.

Special thanks go to our sponsors, patrons and all those who contributed to our crowdfunding to help us reach the estimated costs. They have made it possible to create an impressive course with custom-made tees, impressive tea signs and informative information boards.

The opening ceremony on October 21 will be accompanied by a small supporting program. The Mayor of Lucerne Beat Züsli and the Councillor of Emmen Patrick Schnellmann will give short speeches. After this festive moment, we cordially invite you to play freely and linger. The members of the association will be on hand to help and advise you. Local media such as radio, press and TV are invited to be on site to document this day. We want to share this moment with the entire population and look forward to making the course accessible to all sports enthusiasts from October 21. In addition to the fun, visitors can expect delicious food, refreshing drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. For those who want to challenge themselves, there will be a putter challenge with cool prizes.

We look forward to sharing this special day with everyone!

With sporting greetings
Marco Carfora
President TnT Frisbee Luzern
