The PDGA rating system is a system for evaluating the performance of disc golf players. It is based on the average number of rounds a player has scored in tournaments compared to the course rating, known as the Scratch Scoring Average (SSA).
A player who plays on courses equivalent to the SSA has a rating of 1,000 and is considered a “scratch player”. A player who scores lower than SAAs on courses he has played has a rating of over 1,000.
If you participate in a PDGA sanctioned tournament, your scores will automatically be included in the scoring system. However, only scores from current PDGA members will be published. Your first score may be calculated after only one valid round of tournament play. It will be published on your player profile along with your tournament results once the ratings have been updated.
The ratings are updated monthly by the PDGA. If you would like to find out more about the rating system, please visit the relevant pages on the PDGA website.
