Our national team (Swiss Disc Golf Team) is performance-oriented and is recognized at home and abroad. The team’s internal support and dynamism should help Swiss athletes to perform better in European comparison.
Athletes who meet all qualification requirements will receive a qualification rating and will be included in the national team squad after consultation.
At European Championships, two phases are designed for the distribution of spots per nation. In the first phase, the so-called individual spots are determined on the basis of performance (PDGA rating) and in comparison to the whole of Europe. The athletes for this spot are nominated by the European Committee. The national association can then veto a nomination. In the second phase, the national spot is allocated. Here, the number of spots is evaluated on the basis of the comparison with the whole of Europe and the national federations can allocate these spots to athletes according to their specifications. In Switzerland, this is done by the members of the selection committee, who determine the selection from the national squad based on the following criteria.
The European Championships are regulated by the EDGF (European Disc Golf Federation).
European Disc Golf Championships (MPO, FPO)
European Juniors Championships
European Master Championships (MP40, FP40, MP50, FP50, MP55, MP60, Mp65)
